Actor Lege Miamii Commends VDM Over Benue Killings Documentary, Hints at President Tinubu’s Planned Response

Nollywood actor and social media personality, Lege Miamii, has weighed in on the controversial documentary by activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) that sheds light on the recent surge of killings in Benue State. In a new video circulating online, Lege praised the activist for drawing national attention to the crisis, while also hinting at possible action from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The documentary, which features graphic scenes and eyewitness accounts from communities affected by violent attacks, has sparked heated debates across the country. Many have applauded VDM for daring to speak out, while others criticized the tone and approach of the exposé.

Lege Miamii, known for his outspoken online presence, struck a conciliatory tone in his video response. “Whether you like VDM or not, this time he did something that needed to be done,” the actor stated. “People are dying, and we can’t keep quiet.”

In the same video, Lege revealed that, according to his sources, President Tinubu is aware of the situation and has “begun discreet consultations” with military and security chiefs to address the Benue crisis.

“I can’t say too much, but I know Baba is not sleeping on this matter,” Lege claimed. “Tinubu will act soon watch and see.”

The presidency has yet to issue an official statement in response to the documentary or Lege Miamii’s remarks. However, pressure is mounting on the federal government to provide both immediate security intervention and long-term solutions to the conflict in Benue, which is widely believed to stem from land disputes, farmer-herder clashes, and banditry.

Meanwhile, Lege urged Nigerians to remain peaceful and to avoid turning the tragedy into a platform for ethnic or political division. “This is not about politics,” he said. “It’s about human lives.”

The video has since gone viral, further amplifying calls for national attention to the crisis in Benue.
